§ 21-18. Importation of solid wastes from outside of the county.

(1)

In this section, solid waste generated outside of the boundaries of the county means all solid waste collected from residential, commercial and industrial customers of the collector whose residence or place of business is located outside the boundaries of Sumter County, except as set forth herein.

(2)

This section shall not apply to collectors transferring out-of-county solid waste to private waste transfer or disposal facilities. Private facilities shall be governed by the terms of the applicable operating permit as well as all applicable local, state and federal regulation.
