§ 13-707. Variances and appeals.

  • (a)

    General. The zoning and adjustment board shall hear and decide on requests for appeals and requests for variances from the strict application of this article. Pursuant to F.S. § 553.73(5), and article III (Administration), the zoning and adjustment board shall hear and decide on requests for appeals and requests for variances from the strict application of the flood resistant construction requirements of the Florida Building Code.

    (b)

    Appeals. The zoning and adjustment board shall hear and decide appeals when it is alleged there is an error in any requirement, decision, or determination made by the floodplain administrator in the administration and enforcement of this article. Any person aggrieved by the decision of zoning and adjustment board may appeal such decision to the circuit court, as provided by Florida Statutes.
